Network Optimization problems arise in many real-world applications such as telecommunications, transportation, energy, irrigation. Mathematical Tools are needed to model and solve such problems in a efficient way. Modelling techniques are needed to obtain so-called strong models which give a better representation of the underlying problem. Solution Techniques are needed to efficiently solve the given models.
This issue, tries to gather together recent works by known researchers on the area and which make use of these two paradigms.
